The operational result was slightly better than the previous year. During the year, 15 new contracts were signed to add to the many management contracts that we already have in the Netherlands, which means an increase in the number of lease agreements. Q-Park Netherlands has analysed its operating cost structure and considerable cost reductions have been realised by renegotiating lease contracts for the office buildings.

More and more motorists know where to find Q-Park online. Use of the Q-Park app rose by more than 25 per cent. The EMV software for using debit cards was implemented more widely. This enabled more customers to enter and exit our facilities using their own bank card.


Germany closed the year with good results and a higher operational result than in 2013. An agreement was signed with a hospital project in Bad Berka. The Rathausgalerie in Hagen was opened. Lease contracts in Darmstadt and Offenbach were renewed and optimised. Düsseldorf was the first city to introduce SMS parking – customers can pay for on-street and garage parking via SMS. The effects of Operations 2.0 are clearly visible, in the organisation as well as in the results. More multifunctional teams were deployed, which means lower costs. Now that the centralised administration is in place, attention can be directed to expansion in North Rhine-Westphalia and Hessen. Q-Park is already well represented here.
